About the author
Born in Alexandria, but raised in Rio de Janeiro, Josette studied painting, engraving and sculpture at Institution for Fine Arts and Atelier Libre for Plastics Arts.
At the age of 20 she went to Europe to experience art and culture up close. She never returned to Brazil, but this period marked her entire work, inspired by the nature and landscapes of the country.
Throughout more than 50 years of work, he has had numerous exhibitions, both individual and collective.
Her work "The forest of enigmas" is part of the collection of the Reina Sofia Museum in Spain.
She still continues to exhibit and sell her work.
